Running for Your Life

I ran a 5 K this past Saturday and had a wonderful time. I had not been running much during the winter and planned on taking a nice slow jog. My nephew Ethan got caught up in the excitement and decided to run with me. He was not signed up and my sister had no idea he would be interested. He is 6 years old and enjoys soccer, but he seemed too young for a 5K race. Boy, were we surprised. He kept up with me and was a lot of fun to root for. I had to stop twice to tie his laces but his excitement was fabulous.

His eleven year old sister ran a good race, too. I joked with her that she was much faster this year because she was concentrated more on running and less on chatting with her girlfriends which she seemed to do more of during last year's race.

The race was in Naples, NY, my sister's current home town. The community was very supportive. The whole morning was a great time. There were a number of exceptional participants who improved over the past year along with a few newcomers who never began running until this year.

Three entrants took over 90 minutes to finish and a group waited to cheer them toward the finish line. I saw one older gentleman who seemed to have a weak leg or deformity and he walked the entire course. He was an inspiration for those who think it is not worth it to try.

Running is usually a solitary sport and I have to admit I get bored easily when I run alone, but entering a race is a wonderful experience. Watching the youngster develop a love of running warms my heart. It is good to see them active and interested in it. Running has kept me "grounded" in healthy habits which can take you a long way in the world of stress and negativity.

Whatever sport or exercise you like to do, stick with it. It's important for your vitality.

Create True Immunity: How to Avoid the Swine Flu and All Viruses

With all the news about the swine flu, it seems easy to get into a panic. Remember, the basic issue with viruses is nutrition. If you are well nourished (and well adjsuted) and the nervous system is able to recognize when it is time to zap viruses, the body will take care of it. It is not the virus that is the problem it is the resistance and re silence of the body.

Take a look at Dr. Mercola's article on viruses. He also discusses how vaccines suppress the immune system which just doesn't seem logical.

Natural News seems to question how fast this virus has spread around the world. This doesn't sound like the natural course of a virus. Remember, viruses are always changing. They never remain the same. This is all the more reason to keep your body strong and healthy.

Better Spines -> Better World -> Think Beyond

Don't stop thinking.

We never know the impact of our efforts. We just have to keep doing the right thing.

When someone comes in for an adjustment, he or she is renewing the vitality of the nervous system. What does that mean for the world?

Someone can sleep better at night and face the next day with a fresh outlook?
Someone can avoid liver damage from a prescription drug?
Someone can effectively care for his or her family?
Someone can stay healthy enough to finish college?
Someone can stand up for the rights of others?
Someone can think clearly during a crisis and save an other's life?

What if everyone around you got adjusted?
Could a marriage be saved?
Could an addict feel more self worth?
Could a company president be a better leader?
Could a school perform beyond its expectations?

Think beyond.

What Cigarette Do You Smoke, Doctor?

I rented The Beautiful Truth the other day and was riveted every single moment. A teenage son and his film maker father drive across the country to interview professionals for a home school project on healing. He visited the Gerson Clinic in Mexico, he interviewed Dr. Dean Edell, and even tried to get corporation scientists from Monsanto to appear on video. The big idea of the movie is to keep chemicals out of your body and scruntinize everything that is being presented to you as safe.

We may feel information is hard to find, but Garret Kroschel dug it up very easily.

Highlights from the film:

Footage from a commercial that stating more doctors smoke camel than any other cigarette.

Dr. Max Gerson's most famous patient was Dr. Albert Schweitzer, whom Gerson cured of advanced diabetes when Schweitzer was 75.
