Flu Emergency? Not Really.

 I am in a Chiropractic adjustment state of mind. I read in today's paper that the NYS Governor declared a state of emergency because of the flu.  Now pharmacists are allowed to vaccinate babies and children without a physician's prescription. I don't want folks to be in fear, so let's benefit from the chiropractic adjustment state of mind.  We can adjust our thoughts.

Will getting a flu shot now prepare your body for a "flu season" that is nearly over?
Why is the flu season only in the winter months?  Could there be other reasons?
Did you ever get the summer flu?  Why don't we vaccinate for the flu in the summer?

Are you aware that many deaths attributed to the flu had other coexisting factors?
Other infections are lumped into the flu tallies, so do we really know what is the flu and what is not the flu?

How come there is no "herd immunity" with flu vaccines?
How come those who get the flu shot still get the flu and with a vengence (although some media stories state vaccinated people will have a less flu reaction)?

Are you fed up with all this flu nonsense?  I am.  There are a lot of flu cases at the hospital, but does that mean everywhere.  When you consider 100% of people at an ER are sick, does that mean an entire city is sick?

At this time, I only know of a few people who had a vicious bout of the flu or illness where they had to lay low and rest for more than a week or longer. There are still pockets of healthy people around here who are doing just fine.

I suggest we hang around those folks.  Not because we need to avoid sick people but because we can learn something from the healthy people.  There are a number of habits of highly healthy people.

Let's call it intelligent immunity.

Here's some tips:
1. Get to bed the same time every night and sleep at least 7.5 hours.
2. Get adjusted on a routine basis.
3. Don't just take Vitamin D, take the other needed supplements that make Vitamin D work.
