The Chiropractic Story You Never Heard

Sylvia Ashworth was left for dead.
After 26 years in practice I just learned of this lady. She is lovingly nicknamed the Grand Old Lady of Chiropractic. I want you to know her story.
At age 34 in 1908, Sylvia Ashworth had heart valve issues, diabetes, leg ulcers, severe edema, cystic tumors. Doctors decided against surgery because she only had a few months left to live.
While making arrangements for people to adopt her children, someone suggested she go to a chiropractor. “A what?”
She was getting adjusted twice a day. In time the diabetes resolved, her body healed and she could eat anything she wanted the rest of her life.
She mortgaged her farm and went to chiropractic college. Graduating in 1910, she soon grew the largest chiropractic practice in Nebraska. She was a mover and shaker all over the country until her retirement at age 79 in 1954.
Her inspiring story has ramifications today for you and me:
